1. to kick away; to kick hard

To kick something or someone forcefully.

邪魔(じゃま)な石(いし)を蹴飛(けと)ばした。

I kicked away the stone that was in the way.

2. to reject; to turn down flatly

To refuse an offer or proposal dismissively.

She turned down a rare chance for promotion.

条件(じょうけん)が気(き)に入(い)らなくて、契約(けいやく)を蹴飛(けと)ばした。

Forms

Compound verb: 蹴(け)る (to kick) + 飛(と)ばす (to send flying). The second half supplies the force — the object does not merely receive a kick, it goes flying.

Stronger and more physical than plain 蹴(け)る, and distinctly casual. In sense 2 it is a speaker's dismissive characterisation of a refusal — you would not use it in the wording of a formal notice, where 断(ことわ)る or 拒否(きょひ)する belongs. Saying someone 蹴飛(けと)ばした an offer suggests they threw away something others would have taken.

Transitivity

Transitive, taking を for the thing kicked or the offer refused. There is no intransitive counterpart; the intransitive image is carried by 飛(と)ぶ on its own.
