そう (so) + する (to do) + と (when/if) = "if one does so" / "when that happens"
TWO MAIN USES:
1. Logical conclusion: "If so, then..." — responding to new information
2. Narrative sequence: "And then..." — describing what happened next
SIMILAR EXPRESSIONS:
