2. to ask, to inquire (humble)
Humble form of 聞(き)く/質問(しつもん)する.
ご都合(つごう)のよい日(ひ)を伺(うかが)ってもいいですか。
May I ask when would be convenient for you?
お名前(なまえ)を伺(うかが)ってもよろしいでしょうか。
May I ask your name?
3. to hear, to be told (humble)
Humble form of 聞(き)く (to hear information).
ご意見(いけん)を伺(うかが)いたいのですが。
I would like to hear your opinion.
お話(はなし)は部長(ぶちょう)から伺(うかが)っております。
I have heard about it from the department manager.

Humble verb (謙譲語(けんじょうご)). Used to speak politely about one's own actions when addressing someone of higher status.
