Used to single out one item from a group as being particularly notable. Slightly more formal than 特に.
とりわけ印象(いんしょう)に残(のこ)ったのは最後(さいご)の場面(ばめん)だ。
What was especially memorable was the final scene.
果物(くだもの)の中(なか)で、とりわけりんごが好(す)きだ。
Among fruits, I like apples in particular.
今年(ことし)の冬(ふゆ)はとりわけ寒(さむ)く、雪(ゆき)も多(おお)かった。
This winter was especially cold, and there was a lot of snow too.

とりわけ singles out one thing from a group as particularly noteworthy. Can be written as 取(と)り分(わ)け in kanji, but the hiragana form is more common.
