USAGE:
まあね is typically used as a standalone response. It acknowledges the other person's statement without being overly enthusiastic or definitive. It can sound slightly evasive or modest depending on context.
The ね adds a softer, more conversational feel. Without it, まあ alone can sound more dismissive.
