SENSE 1-2 (INNOCENCE / ABSORPTION):

Derived from the Buddhist concept of "no-mind" — a state free from ego and attachment. In martial arts and Zen, 無心(むしん) is a key concept often rendered as "mushin" in English.

SENSE 3 (BEGGING):

無心(むしん)する takes を to mark the thing requested.

  • 借金(しゃっきん)を無心(むしん)する: to hit someone up for a loan

This sense implies a somewhat shameless or persistent request, stronger than simply 頼(たの)む.
