暴騰 indicates an extreme, often irrational price increase. The character 暴 (violent, wild) emphasizes the severity. The opposite is 暴落 (crash).
暴騰 is more extreme than 急騰:
- 急騰: sharp rise (significant but may be justified)
- 暴騰: skyrocketing (extreme, often speculative)
