To physically move someone or something out of one's path by pushing. A compound of 押す (to push) + のける (to move aside).
人を押しのけて前に出た。
I pushed people aside and moved to the front.
邪魔な荷物を押しのけて通路を確保した。
I pushed the obstructing luggage aside to clear the aisle.

To disregard or overcome opposition, objections, or rivals in order to proceed. Used figuratively for pushing past obstacles.

押しのける is an ichidan verb. It can take a direct object marked with を: 人を押しのける (push a person aside).
