An interrogative word used to ask which month of the year something occurs in or relates to. One of the most basic question words for dates in Japanese.
誕生日(たんじょうび)は何月(なんがつ)ですか。
What month is your birthday?
桜(さくら)は何月(なんがつ)に咲(さ)きますか。
In what month do the cherry blossoms bloom?
何月(なんがつ)何日(なんにち)に届(とど)くか、まだ連絡(れんらく)が来(き)ていない。

The interrogative form for months, combining 何(なん) (what) with 月(がつ) (month). One of the most basic and frequently used question words for dates. Used when asking about specific months for events, schedules, seasons, etc.
