For something (mail, packages, etc.) to arrive at a destination.
荷物(にもつ)(とど)きました。
The package arrived.
手紙(てがみ)まだ(とど)いていません。

The things I ordered arrived at home.
A birthday present arrived from my friend, and I was very happy.
The book I ordered is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so please contact me when it arrives.
2. to reach
To extend far enough to touch or attain something.
()(とど)かない。
I can't reach.

I can't reach the shelf.

Figurative use

TRANSITIVITY: 自動詞(じどうし) (intransitive). Pair: (とど)ける (transitive). Pattern: Xが(とど)く (X arrives/reaches).

ASPECT: ている indicates resulting state. (とど)いている = 'has arrived' (and is here now).
