A supplementary building that is separate from but belongs to the same institution as the main building. Used for hotels, museums, hospitals, and other facilities with multiple structures.
お部屋(へや)は別館(べっかん)になります。
Your room is in the annex.
会議室(かいぎしつ)は別館(べっかん)の3階(かい)にあります。
The meeting room is on the third floor of the annex.
別館(べっかん)には温泉(おんせん)付(つ)きの特別室(とくべつしつ)がある。
The annex has special rooms with private hot springs.

A secondary building belonging to the same institution as the main building (本館(ほんかん)). Very common at Japanese hotels, where the 別館(べっかん) may have a different character or price range from the main building.

USAGE:
