KEY PATTERN:
Almost always used with がさす: 嫌気がさす (to become disgusted with, to grow tired of). The pattern ~に嫌気がさす means "to get fed up with ~."
NUANCE:
Stronger than 飽きる (to get bored of). 嫌気 implies not just loss of interest but active aversion or revulsion toward something that has become intolerable.
NOTE:
Do not confuse with 嫌気性 (anaerobic), where the reading is けんき.
