The largest fish species in the world, a gentle filter feeder that eats plankton and small fish. Popular in Japanese aquariums, notably Okinawa's Churaumi Aquarium.
Usage
Named for its pattern of white spots, said to resemble a 甚平 (a traditional summer jacket). Despite being called a shark, it feeds only on plankton and small fish, not larger prey.
