Usage

Japan has coined numerous ハラスメント compound words (often abbreviated to 〜ハラ) to categorize specific types of problematic behavior. This reflects increasing social awareness of workplace and interpersonal misconduct.

Types

• パワハラ（パワーハラスメント）: power harassment (abuse of authority)
• セクハラ（セクシャルハラスメント）: sexual harassment
