USAGE:
A compound of 省 (ministry) and 庁 (agency). In the Japanese government, 省 refers to larger ministries (e.g., 財務省, Ministry of Finance) and 庁 to smaller agencies (e.g., 気象庁, Meteorological Agency). The word 省庁 is used as a collective term.
