A person who plays the drum kit, especially in a rock, pop, jazz, or similar band. From English "drummer." Usually does not refer to players of traditional Japanese drums like 太鼓(たいこ), who are called 太鼓奏者(たいこそうしゃ).

He is the band's drummer.
そのドラマーは有名(ゆうめい)な曲(きょく)を演奏(えんそう)した。

Loanword from English "drummer." Used for the drummer in a rock or jazz band; for casual players, "ドラムをやっている人(ひと)" is more natural.
