A belch — gas released from the stomach through the mouth. A somewhat literary or formal word, most often met in the set phrase おくびにも出(だ)さない.
おくびが出(で)た。
I let out a belch.
彼(かれ)は不満(ふまん)をおくびにも出(だ)さなかった。
He didn't let his dissatisfaction show in the slightest.
苦(くる)しくても、その気持(きも)ちをおくびにも出(だ)さずに働(はたら)き続(つづ)けた。
Even though it was hard, he kept working without letting a hint of his feelings show.

A belch. The plain word for a burp in everyday speech is げっぷ; おくび is more literary and is now used mainly in one idiom.
