A belch — gas released from the stomach through the mouth. A somewhat literary or formal word, most often met in the set phrase おくびにも出さない.
おくびが出た。
I let out a belch.

A belch. The plain word for a burp in everyday speech is げっぷ; おくび is more literary and is now used mainly in one idiom.
