To move from inside to outside a place. The opposite of (はい)る (hairu).

I leave the house at 8 o'clock.
Note: を particle for leaving a place

I left the room.

Let's go outside.

2. to appear, to come out
For something to become visible or available, such as results or products.
結果(けっか)()ました。
The results came out.

3. to attend, to participate
To be present at meetings, events, or competitions.
Please attend the meeting.
授業(じゅぎょう)()なければなりません。
I must attend class.
I want to participate in the match.
I attend the meeting every Sunday.
I plan to attend next month's party, but I don't know if I'll have time.

TRANSITIVITY: 自動詞(じどうし) (intransitive). Pair: ()す (transitive). Pattern: Xを()る (leave X) / Xに()る (attend X).

ASPECT: ている indicates resulting state. ()ている = 'has left' or 'is out.'

COMMON PATTERNS:
