My child has a fever, so I have to take the day off work and stay home today.

TRANSITIVITY: Sense 1 自動詞(じどうし) (intransitive), Sense 2 他動詞(たどうし) (transitive with ). No pair verb.

ASPECT: ている indicates ongoing state. (やす)んでいる = 'is resting' or 'is off (work/school).'
