To lose energy or strength from physical or mental exertion. Often used in the た form to describe the state of being tired.
TRANSITIVITY: 自動詞 (intransitive). No pair verb. Pattern: Xが疲れる (X gets tired).
ASPECT: ている indicates resulting state. 疲れている = 'is tired' (state of tiredness). Past 疲れた also expresses current tiredness.
