Said of a melody, voice, or remark that keeps coming back to one after it is heard. The sound is the subject and takes が; the person who remembers it is usually left unstated.
Usage
The ている form is the normal one, describing the ongoing state of a sound that will not go away. Both pleasant and unpleasant sounds qualify — a catchy tune, a scolding, a scream.
