education
1. school (private lessons); course
A private school or course teaching a skill, such as a language, cooking, driving or a sport. For ordinary schools, 学校(がっこう) is used.

Almost always in compounds naming what is taught; on its own it sounds like a business name.

Watch out

An elementary, junior high or high school is 学校(がっこう), never スクール. スクール in スクールバス and スクールカウンセラー does mean an ordinary school.
