Usage

The main gathering is the 一次会(いちじかい); the group then moves on to a 二次会(にじかい) (often a bar or karaoke) and sometimes a 三次会(さんじかい). A wedding 二次会(にじかい) is a separate, casual party after the reception, usually with a fixed fee (会費(かいひ)) often joined by friends who were not at the reception.
