Treating someone or something as unimportant or beneath consideration. Implies a deliberate dismissal or looking down upon, stronger and more negative than 疎か.
人を蔑にするな。
Don't treat people with contempt.
約束を蔑にされた。
My promise was disregarded.
社員の意見を蔑にする会社は伸びない。
A company that disregards employee opinions won't grow.
伝統を蔑にしてはならない。
We must not disregard tradition.
蔑にする is used when someone or something is treated dismissively or with contempt, as if unworthy of attention.

Note: Often written in hiragana (ないがしろ). The kanji 蔑 shares the same character as 蔑む (to despise).
