転居届は引っ越しの前後十四日以内に市区町村役場に提出する。
The change of address notification must be submitted to the municipal office within fourteen days before or after moving.
COMPONENTS: 転居 (change of residence) + 届 (notification/report).
When moving within the same municipality, you submit a 転居届. When moving to a different municipality, the process involves a 転出届 (moving-out notice) at the old address and a 転入届 (moving-in notice) at the new address.
