転居届(てんきょとどけ)は引(ひ)っ越(こ)してから十四日(じゅうよっか)以内(いない)に市区町村(しくちょうそん)役場(やくば)に提出(ていしゅつ)する。

転居(てんきょ) (change of residence) + 届(とどけ) (notification).

Usage

At the municipal office, a 転居届(てんきょとどけ) is filed when moving within the same city or ward; moving to another municipality takes a 転出届(てんしゅつとどけ) at the old office and a 転入届(てんにゅうとどけ) at the new one. The post office also has a 転居届(てんきょとどけ), which forwards mail to the new address for one year.
