An official form submitted to the local ward or city office when moving into a new municipality in Japan.
転入届(てんにゅうとどけ)は早(はや)めに出(だ)そう。

引(ひ)っ越(こ)し後(ご)14日(じゅうよっか)以内(いない)に転入届(てんにゅうとどけ)を出(だ)す。
Submit the moving-in notification within 14 days after moving.
転入届(てんにゅうとどけ)には転出(てんしゅつ)証明書(しょうめいしょ)が必要(ひつよう)です。
A moving-out certificate is required for the moving-in notification.

Usage

転入届(てんにゅうとどけ) must be submitted within 14 days of moving to a new municipality. Unless the move-out was done online with a マイナンバーカード, you bring the 転出(てんしゅつ)証明書(しょうめいしょ) from your previous location.
