A suffix attached to a Sino-Japanese noun to mean "after that event": 退職後(たいしょくご) (after retirement), 卒業後(そつぎょうご) (after graduation). Written-style and very productive.

卒業後(そつぎょうご)に就職(しゅうしょく)した。

I got a job after graduating.

手術後(しゅじゅつご)は安静(あんせい)にしてください。

Please rest quietly after the operation.

退職後(たいしょくご)の生活(せいかつ)をどう過(す)ごすか、今(いま)のうちから考(かんが)えておいたほうがいい。

The on'yomi of 後(うし)ろ・後(あと), used only as a bound suffix. It attaches directly to a Sino-Japanese noun with no particle, and the result behaves as a time noun.
