My grandmother carefully pens each New Year's card one by one every year.
CONJUGATION (ichidan):
- Negative: したためない
- Te-form: したためて
- Past: したためた
TRANSITIVITY:
Transitive.
WRITING:
The kanji 認める exists but is rarely used. Hiragana is standard.
REGISTER:
A literary, somewhat formal or old-fashioned word. In everyday speech, 書く is used instead. したためる implies care and deliberation in the act of writing.
