USAGE:
転売する is the verb form. In modern usage, 転売 strongly implies buying goods solely to resell at a markup, especially for concert tickets, limited-edition goods, and popular electronics. This practice is widely criticized in Japan.
Since 2019, Japan's チケット不正転売禁止法 (Act on Prohibition of Unauthorized Ticket Resale) makes it illegal to resell event tickets above face value.
