ている form for ongoing business

駅(えき)の近(ちか)くの店(みせ)でおいしいパンを売(う)っています。

TRANSITIVITY: 他動詞(たどうし) (transitive). No pair verb. Pattern: Xを売(う)る (sell X).

ASPECT: ている indicates ongoing business/state. 売(う)っている = 'is selling' or 'sells (habitually).'

COMMON PATTERNS:

  • 売(う)り切(き)れ (sold out)
