2. wheel
A circular object that rotates. This is the original meaning of the kanji.
車椅子(くるまいす)を使(つか)っています。

水車(すいしゃ)は昔(むかし)、米(こめ)を作(つく)るのに使(つか)われました。
Waterwheels were used in the past to make rice.
