2. to see off, to escort
To accompany someone who is leaving, or to escort them partway.
(えき)まで(おく)ります。
I'll walk you to the station.
Using the 'see off' meaning
(くるま)(おく)りましょう
Shall I give you a ride?
I walked my friend home.
子供(こども)学校(がっこう)まで(おく)ってあげます。
I'll take the child to school.
Every morning I drop the kids off at school and then go to work. My wife picks them up on the way home.

TRANSITIVITY: 他動詞(たどうし) (transitive). No pair verb. Pattern: XをYに(おく)る (send X to Y) or Xを(おく)る (see X off).

ASPECT: ている indicates ongoing action or completed action depending on context. (おく)っている = 'is sending' or 'has sent.'
