大(おお)きさ

大(おお)きさ means "size" or "magnitude" — the extent of how big something is.

Formed with the ～さ suffix that converts い-adjectives into nouns expressing degree:

• 大(おお)きい → 大(おお)きさ (size)
• 高(たか)い → 高(たか)さ (height)
• 長(なが)い → 長(なが)さ (length)
• 広(ひろ)い → 広(ひろ)さ (spaciousness)

Usage

Unlike English "size" which can also refer to clothing sizes (S/M/L), 大(おお)きさ primarily refers to physical dimensions. For clothing sizes, サイズ is more common: このサイズはありますか (Do you have this size?).
