USAGE:
The nominal form of the verb 盛る (to heap, to serve). Very commonly used in compound forms: 大盛り (large serving), 普通盛り (regular serving), 特盛り (extra-large serving). At restaurants, 盛りがいい means the portions are generous. Also used for the visual presentation of food (盛り付け = plating).
