USAGE:
解明 implies a thorough, often systematic process of uncovering truth or causes. It is stronger than 説明 (explanation), which simply conveys information, and more investigative than 解説 (commentary). 解明 suggests that something was previously a mystery or unknown and has been figured out through effort.
