お月見(つきみ) (moon viewing) is a traditional Japanese autumn custom, especially during the 十五夜(じゅうごや) (fifteenth night of the eighth lunar month). People view the full moon and offer 団子(だんご) (rice dumplings) and 薄(すすき) (Japanese pampas grass).
