I want to go abroad while I'm still in my twenties.
二十代(にじゅうだい)前半(ぜんはん)で結婚(けっこん)する人(ひと)は最近(さいきん)少(すく)なくなっている。
Fewer people have been getting married in their early twenties recently.

Formed from 二十(にじゅう) (twenty) + 代(だい) (generation, age bracket). The 代(だい) suffix is used with multiples of ten to indicate an age range.

COMMON COLLOCATIONS:

  • 二十代(にじゅうだい)前半(ぜんはん): early twenties (20-24)
  • 二十代(にじゅうだい)後半(こうはん): late twenties (25-29)
  • 二十代(にじゅうだい)半(なか)ば: mid-twenties
  • 二十代(にじゅうだい)の男性(だんせい)/女性(じょせい): men/women in their twenties

PATTERN:
