トートバッグ

A loanword from English 'tote bag.' In Japan, tote bags became especially popular after the introduction of charges for plastic shopping bags (レジ袋(ぶくろ)有料化(ゆうりょうか)) in 2020. Many people carry a folding tote bag as an eco-bag (エコバッグ) for shopping.
