The 一万円札(いちまんえんさつ) is the highest denomination of Japanese currency. Colloquially called 万札(まんさつ). As of 2024, the bill features 渋沢栄一(しぶさわえいいち), known as the father of Japanese capitalism. The previous design (1984-2024) featured 福沢諭吉(ふくざわゆきち), the founder of Keio University, and was informally called a 諭吉(ゆきち).
