From English "group home." In Japan the term most often refers to facilities under the 介護(かいご)保険(ほけん) system for people with dementia (認知症(にんちしょう)対応型(たいおうがた)共同(きょうどう)生活(せいかつ)介護(かいご)), though it is also used for facilities serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
