Being carried away with joy, so happy that one loses composure. Almost always used with になる. Can carry a mild negative nuance of getting carried away.
合格(ごうかく)して有頂天(うちょうてん)になる。

He is elated at being praised.

Being carried away with joy, to the point of losing one's composure. Originally a Buddhist term for the highest of the heavens. Almost always used with になる.
