TRANSITIVITY: 他動詞(たどうし) (transitive). No pair verb. Pattern: Xを探(さが)す (search for X).

ASPECT: ている indicates ongoing action. 探(さが)している = 'is looking for' (active search in progress).

COMMON PATTERNS:
