衣(ころも) (clothing - classical reading) + 替(か)え (change)

CULTURAL NOTE:
In Japan, 衣替(ころもが)え traditionally occurs on June 1st (from winter to summer uniforms) and October 1st (from summer to winter). Schools and many companies follow this schedule for uniform changes.
