Japanese divides each month into three ten-day periods:
- 上旬 (first ten days, roughly 1st-10th)
- 中旬 (middle ten days, roughly 11th-20th)
- 下旬 (last ten days, roughly 21st-end)
COMMON PATTERNS:
- ～月中旬 (mid-[month])
- 中旬ごろ (around mid-month)
- 中旬から下旬にかけて (from mid to late month)
This system is commonly used in weather forecasts, delivery estimates, event planning, and seasonal descriptions.
