楽団(がくだん) is the general Japanese term for an organized musical group. More specific terms exist: 管弦楽団(かんげんがくだん) (symphony orchestra), 吹奏楽団(すいそうがくだん) (wind ensemble), 軍楽隊(ぐんがくたい) (military band). オーケストラ (orchestra) is also commonly used for Western-style orchestras.
