Being outdoors without a roof or covering. Often used as a modifier to describe outdoor baths, mining operations, or other activities done under the open sky.
露天(ろてん)風呂(ぶろ)に入(はい)る。
Take an outdoor bath.
この旅館(りょかん)は露天(ろてん)風呂(ぶろ)付(つ)きの部屋(へや)がある。
This inn has rooms with private outdoor baths.

Most commonly encountered in the compound 露天(ろてん)風呂(ぶろ) (open-air bath), a major attraction at Japanese hot springs (温泉(おんせん)) and inns (旅館(りょかん)).

Do not confuse with the homophone 露店(ろてん) (street stall/vendor), which uses a different kanji for the second character (店(てん) = shop vs 天(てん) = sky/heaven).
