USAGE:
A key term in otaku and doujin culture. 二次 means 'secondary' and 創作 means 'creative work.' The original work is called 一次創作 (primary/original creation). Many companies in Japan have official guidelines ({ガイドライン|}) about what 二次創作 is allowed.
