A casual first-person plural used mainly by younger speakers and by women, and widely in Kansai speech regardless of gender. It emphasizes the speaker's own circle as against other people.
Usage
From うち (I, casual) plus the plural suffix 〜ら. Strictly informal: appropriate among friends and classmates, but out of place at work, in writing, or with anyone senior, where 私たち is required.
