Having people on board or attending, as opposed to 無人(むじん); used of spacecraft, vehicles, stations and facilities.

Almost always before another noun or with の, and almost always in contrast with 無人(むじん) "unmanned, unstaffed." Not to be confused with 友人(ゆうじん) "friend," which has the same reading.
