入学(にゅうがく)祝(いわ)い is given when a child enters 小学校(しょうがっこう) (elementary school), 中学校(ちゅうがっこう) (middle school), 高校(こうこう) (high school), or 大学(だいがく) (university).

Typical gifts by level:
